Struthio camelus  

One behaviour of the Ostrich we noticed was that it sometimes dropped to the ground if it detected a possible threat in the vicinity.

This was soon followed by flight (proving that to say Ostriches cannot fly requires qualification) when the threat appeared more urgent.
